Accessibility statement
What we aim for on this website, the dashboard and the hosted checkout, what we know falls short, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Effective 27 October 2026 · Last updated 27 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Draft pending counsel review. The operating company is Snailcart, Inc.; its principal office address and tax identifiers appear as [PRINCIPAL OFFICE ADDRESS — D-006 pending] placeholders until they are confirmed.
Our target
Snailcart, Inc. aims to make this website, the merchant dashboard and the hosted checkout pages usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification or reduced motion. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a target we test against, not a certification, and we do not claim full conformance.
What we do
- Every page starts with a "Skip to content" link, declares its language, and keeps a visible focus outline on every link, button and field.
- Every form field has a label; errors are announced; nothing is pre-ticked.
- Text colours are checked for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and moving sections on this website have a pause control.
- Our release checks run an automated accessibility audit (axe, WCAG 2.2 AA rules) over this website, the sign-in page, the dashboard, the checkout, the confirmation page and a hosted legal page, and a keyboard-only walk through the landing page, its forms and the checkout.
- On the hosted checkout, the consumer-law wording, document names and button labels are provided in the buyer's language (eight languages).
Known limitations
- Parts of the merchant dashboard (the flow builder's canvas and some charts) are easier with a mouse; the same actions are available through the lists and forms beside them, and through our API.
- Merchants can add their own colours, fonts and logos to the hosted checkout; where a merchant's palette lowers contrast, our defaults still apply to the legal text and the order button.
- The payment fields are rendered by Whop inside an iframe; their accessibility is Whop's.
- PDF or image content a merchant uploads (for example product images) carries the merchant's alternative text.
Tell us about a barrier
Email hello@snailcart.com with the page address and what went wrong, and we will reply within five business days. If you cannot complete a purchase on a merchant's checkout, the merchant named at the bottom of that page can take your order another way; for anything on this website or the dashboard, email us and we will help you by email or on a call.
Review
We review this statement when the site changes materially and at least once a year.
